Interesting! Personally, I'm loving 2024, but with a 5800X paired with a 3080Ti, i'm experiencing these same issues as you at some smaller payware airports - such as EGPF by Pyreegue. Panning round outside the aircraft is like a slideshow - even at the end of the runway. I might now try the new 571.96 driver and see if this gives me any performance improvement. Cheers.

Should we all put 2020 back on hard drive?
CBass replied to spilok's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)
I still have 2020 installed but fly exclusively in 2024 these days. Yes some of the outstanding bugs and issues annoy me, but for me, the improvement in other areas of the sim offset these and allow me to tolerate these bugs in the short term. -
2 Settings make ALL the difference
CBass replied to spilok's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)
I noticed a big difference when I changed mine from 32GB to 128GB and turned off dynamic settings. I also found Frame Gen made a big difference to smoothness. -
What mod is that being used in the video that allows all of those parameters to be monitored?
-
Ok i guess i can work with this
CBass replied to Maxis's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)
Have you experienced any issues with the IniBuilds A320neo/A321 not always showing the top of descent on the nav display or picking up the glide slope? I'm experiencing these issues but unsure if it's a bug or something i'm doing wrong. -
Frame gen mod works for MSFS 2024! Read first!
CBass replied to vyper883's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)
I have never used a Frame Gen mod previously but following on from the above, I have now downloaded it to try it and it has pretty much doubled my frame rates in the scenarios I have been testing in. All of the 'Super Resolution' options seem to work well, with the exception of DLAA, which seems to cause some issues, particularly when moving the camera around. I'm now questioning whether there is a need to also download the Auto FPS mod - another mod I have never used in the past. -
Poll: MSFS2024 performance

Yup, same! -
Poll: MSFS2024 performance
CBass replied to Cpt_Piett's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)
I tried this as my smaller airports are unrealistically teaming with traffic but does this not also reduce the quality of the airport traffic though - as quality and volume seem to be tied to the same slider? -
Poll: MSFS2024 performance
CBass replied to Cpt_Piett's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)
I'm perhaps doing something wrong but, with my specs below, I could fly in 2020, with everything set to ULTRA, on one monitor in 4K and maintain 40fps at most pay-ware airports. I should note that I have never used any autofps mod in either 2020 or 2024 - mainly because they look to complicated for my simple little brain. In 2024, my sim has auto-set my settings to HIGH and I am seeing 30-35fps at the same pay-ware airports - sometimes dropping to 25fps if I am in the drone. So whilst I am really enjoying 2024 and using it exclusively, I personally have not found performance to be better than 2020. I'm getting lower fps on a lower setting. I was also under the impression that 2024 was going to make better use of multi-core, multi-threaded machines, but I remain limited by my main thread. -
On high settings, based on what i'm seeing with my 3080ti.
-
My 3080ti is giving me a smooth performance for the most part so far, but with Orbx GB North added and payware airports such as EGPF by Pyreegue, i'm only getting 35-40fps, on average. That's with most settings on high and TLOD on 200 and OLOD on 150. But yes smoothness is King.

Excellent set. Incredible skies and of course the aircraft! What weather engine are you using here? Cheers!
