Looking to upgrade my 4070 to a 4070 ti super or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT Triple Fan 20GB.

i know the AMD doesn’t have frame generation so im a bit worried that I won’t have good performance without it. I currently have an i9-10850k and play at 1440p with ai traffic. I really need the extra vram as a max out at some airports, especially being in 1440p.

Any thoughts? Would really like to save $50-75 with the AMD card but if I won’t be able to use frame generation…idk

you can use frame generation with amd I have 6700xt and I have frame generation with FSR 3.1 is not implemented yet by Microsoft but will probably in the coming months but there is a mod that you can add and allow the use fsr 3.1 in msfs 20 and msfs 24

Check signature for my setup. I run both sims at default Ultra settings.

I've never used frame generation in 2020 or 2024. I run my monitor at max refresh (165 Mhz) and just use AMD Chill to limit frames on-the-fly to 30 (airliner, busy airport), or 60 (GA). The sims have always been smooth, no stutters.

I use the KISS principle 🙂
