My rule for troubleshooting anything electronic, is "Look at the last thing you changed before a problem developed"  It never fails me.

yep, being IT most of my daily activity, I am an advocate of that "strategy" too, but this turn around I hadn't touched anything MSFS 2024 related, and / or installed any drivers or had any Win11 system update, so, although I did suspect it might be related to anything I had installed in Xp12, I was still far from finding out what it might be.

I am not 100% sure that was the culprit because I haven't yet got desktop PC time at home, but will try ASAP 🙂

Well, just a note to say that the ONLY way I could get BATC working again was starting it in OpenGL.ode using one of the two alternativa batch files in the program folders.

Apparently the xEnviro for xp12 install messed up Vulkan.

BATC is ok in OpenGL mode!

hope that you have it going  by now, if you google Vulkan.dll there  are a few posts about  this issue, and there are a few solutions.  Don't  know  if they be  relevant  to your situation though.

Well, a friend mentioned through Wahstapp that xEnviro when installed changed the default registry variable for the path to Vulkan, so I asked my friend copilot and he gave me some answers I'm going to try.

Meanwhile I'm running BATC in OpenGL mode. The batch file for DX10 mode doesn't work either.

Am going to protest at the xEnviro forums 😕

Although I LOVE xEnviro now in X-Plane 12, it's not good programming practice IMHO !
