April 5, 200818 yr Hi everyoneI have just come across a new scenery for fsx called 'fs altitude'(http://www.fsaltitude.com/overview.htm)Before buying I thought I will ask the experts -has any one bought it and what do you think about it.Does the scenery maintain the 3D look or is it a birds eye 2D photo of the areas, like some older versions of Uk sceneries. At the moment I have got fs global 2008,and ultimate terrain Europe. My machine is Pentium 4 3.2 (over clocked @3.63) with 2 gig ram .Will this handle it?I look forward to your comments.Qas
April 6, 200818 yr HiI asked this a little while ago. Didn't really get the response I'd hoped for, so I tried asking the developers. Didn't get any reply at all from them. However, they do have a new video up on their site which I had a look at. On the strength of that I've ordered the DVDs and will give it a try with fingers crossed Bud
April 6, 200818 yr On their website, they list the system requirements for this software:* Pentium 4 processor 2Ghz or above* 1Go RAM minimum* Graphic adapter 256 Mo minimum* 25 Go free disk spaceNow what do they mean by "Go" and "Mo"? Is this some sort of error in which they're trying to say GB and MB? Or am I missing something?

I am always a bit skeptical when I see text mistakes in labelling etc. Laways makes me wonder - if they don't check their copy, how well do they check their program code? April 6, 200818 yr It's a French product with French developpers. In French a byte is an "octet" hence the Go (Gb) and Mo (Mb). Often they forget to transate Mb and Gb.JCMK
April 6, 200818 yr Author I think the product is great. It should be wlooked at from altitudes of 30.00 ft or higher. This is due to the resolution, which, for obvious reasons ( Filesize) is on the weak side. Having said that, The earth looks great from the cockpit, and there are ( Of course!)no repeated textures.Highly recommendable.KindlyJakob Arnholtz
