January 11, 20251 yr This small and single prop (default) MSFS2024 airplane in my airplane Library (I mean...in my hangar...🙂...) ...has been (passionately) beckoning me for some time but has been, so far, bypassed by the likes of Airbus and Boeing airliners ...🙂...so, today, I thought of taking it into the sky for a test flight. I do recall flying, in my past SIMs, (at least, freeware versions of) the Air Tractor AT-802. Moreover, I have been always struck by the similarity of the AT-802 Air Tractor with another (agricultural) aircraft, the (Cessna) A188 AG Truck, a nice (SIM) rendition of which by (one-time Carenado twin...🙂...) Alabeo, was one of my favorite airplanes. An Air Tractor AT-802 is considered similar to a Cessna 188 Ag Truck, as both are single-engine agricultural aircraft, but the C-188 is generally smaller and less powerful than the AT-802. Additionally, the Air Tractor AT-802, you see below, is a more utilitarian (and more versatile) crop duster a/c (just as the C188 is) that can also be used for firefighting and armed reconnaissance. Anyway, for this post, I've used the (MS/Asobo) AT-802 for a bit of aerial sightseeing. I've chosen to fly around a locale that was one of my favorite places to visit in FSX... (you'll recall the CZST/Stewart scenery by Orbx...touted as "The world's first 2cm/pixel airport!"...🙂...). That airport (and vicinity) was indeed fairly well-done in the (past) SIMs. Here, however, I am just travelling in the default MSFS (CZST/Stewart) scenery, for my first time there in MSFS, lifting off Rwy 18 (CZST), tracking along the waterway of the Portland Canal, and then making a small tour of the surrounding mountains, to finally land back on Rwy 36. Hope you enjoy this collection of images of this unique looking (turboprop) aircraft...flying here in these scenic surroundings of Stewart, British Columbia. Thanks for viewing...!
