February 5, 20251 yr I loaded the latest dlss version in p3dv6. I have the impression that p3d benefits from this as well. It runs a little smoother for me or is it just my imagination? Has anyone else tested this?

Here's a bit of a discussion around different cards and their level of support. Personally (as I have a 3080Ti card) I use lossless scaling to achieve frame generation (FG) of up to 180 fps for P3D. Typically FG of up to 60 fps with vsync is smooth enough for myself as shown in the (short) vid below. February 5, 20251 yr P3D V6 has had DLSS/FSR support for sometime now (since 2023): https://www.prepar3d.com/announcement/2023/12/132236/
February 5, 20251 yr Does everyone really understand what DLSS is and what it offers (and the GFX cards needed for full advantage) ? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_Learning_Super_Sampling Cheers Ryzen 5800X clocked to 4.7 Ghz (SMT off), 32 GB ram, Samsung 1 x 1 TB NVMe 970, 2 x 1 TB SSD 850 Pro raided, Asus Tuf 3080Ti P3D 4.5.14, Orbx Global, Vector and more, lotsa planes too. February 6, 20251 yr Author I have an RTX 4090 and am running a 180-degree view with three projectors. This configuration has corresponding resource requirements. For the display I use a geometric correction software, which also supports downscaling and upscaling. Unfortunately, this has no positive effect. My question also only referred to experiences with DLSS and not to alternatives.
February 6, 20251 yr The frame generation operated by Lossless Scaling is working extremely well, including on older video cards that do not support DLSS (NVidia GTX cards, before the RTX generations). However, the problem with Lossless Scaling is that it doesn't work in VR 😕 I have not fully understood what the DLSS brings but if my understanding is correct, it comes with a frame gen system that actually works in VR, so I understand that VR users might be very interested in it. Unfortunately, most of the comments I read on various forums are from "people who know" to "people who know", so ignorants like me are a bit left behind 😕
