Can we pin or otherwise archive certain threads?

" 3d experience now in vista-heads up..." comes to mind. Obvious value; see the long discussion. On the other hand every time someone posts to that extensive thread, it hijacks the current page.In search of efficiency,bt

Fair comment to all 3 posts above. What about a single sticky thread that linked by topic to a separate "FAQ" style forum? Where the monster 100+ threads could live without the clutter? To be honest, I will lose not a minute's sleep if it doesn't happen, but I can see the advantages. I begin to lose the will to live when certain topics are revitalised (necroposting, I think it's sometimes called) - reminds me, too, of the photo scenery for Chile that has that same bad penny effect, though it's churlish to mention it I know! And can anyone be bothered to make an "index" thread, which is what this would be? In a perfect world, I suppose. But in a forum, I guess one lives with the odd behemoth, post-wise.

Why not choose the "Collapse Topics" option, then expand the ones you wish?
