Prior to and on take-off,  controls for flaps and gear operate normally, but when making an approach to land, neither work, nor keyboard commands. I have to save the scenario and then load it for the flaps and gear to work again. 

Any known solutions to this problem?

Perhaps overspeed damage ?

Might help with troubleshooting if the actual version of P3D5 is known (e.g. 5.3, 5.4 etc.) and what aircraft is being flown.

This is P3D5.4 being used in a full size enclosed Spitfire cockpit with Spitsim flying controls and a  Simbutik instrument panel. The gear is controlled by the former and the flaps the latter. My Spitfire of choice is the Flight1 Mark XIV Spitfire, which is now rather old but still a classic. I have flown this model for over a decade on earlier versions of P3D without this problem. Gear and flaps are never deployed above 157 MPH (the POH limit) so I don't think its overspeed.

Did you ever find a fix for this? I'm experiencing this exact issue! 

Addon aircraft, all damage and crash turned off and after a certain amount of time on a flight I can't drop the gear or flaps. If I reset the aircraft mid flight it will then start working again
