February 20, 20251 yr Flying the Royal Turbine Duke from 2NC0 to KBCT Boca Raton FL. Rules at 2NC0 are that the field must be VFR and you depart daytime only. So we had to wait a little for the weather to clear. With the weather cleared up enough we file IFR (to pickup after we're airborne) and head out This rendition of 2NC0 is by Pilot's. There is also a freeware version by Windhover. The payware from Pilot's is a bit nicer but both are pretty good. Making a solid bank to the southwest to clear the ridge and remain VFR until we can get in contact with Atlanta Center for the IFR pickup. We're going to maintain VFR and climb through this hole - if we have to level at 17,500 ft we'll do it. We're underway with our IFR routing 2NC0 DEBRL JESTR1 KBCT - initially climbing to FL230 (the top altitude of most USA low altitude ARTCC sectors) - easily doing 3000 fpm passing FL180! Passing KGSP and then beyond AGS, home of the Masters (if you follow golf - which I don't lol) Almost half way there with a nasty crosswind And now we've passed Savannah Georgia, home of Grumman Aerospace Just offshore over Eastern Florida waters approaching TOD to make our FL190 constraint by JESTR What happened to the sunshine state? All of these icky clouds! Thankfully our Duke is looking quite lovely. This is the "upgraded" version of the default livery done by TimHH. (Fun fact both the default and the upgraded were done by Tim!) As you can see the livery is superb! We've passed Melbourne, Fort Pierce/Treasure Coast, and we're kinda looking east here at Stuart We are told to expect the RNAV Y RWY 23 via PBI since the field is MVFR - and we've turned inbound just passing over HIVUR the FAF The turbine duke is an excellent choice of transportation for flight in all weather, with multiple avionics available! I highly recommend it! The airport layout is interesting at Boca. It seems like the winds are usually out of the southeast here so I'm unsure why the runway is oriented 05/23 - anyone from this area in the know? We're taxiing in to Signature at Astralis Studio's KBCT The scenery is reasonable payware for around 15 USD. There are at least two "pink" aircraft (texture issues) on the ramp if you do intend to use it in 2024. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

February 23, 20251 yr Lovely pictures set, Ryan...! The Turbine Duke looks bold and beautiful... I thought from your Title....you're flying the airline Mountain Air...🙂...if any... Those first few shots prove how appropriate this airport name is. Yes, Daytime VFR is a must seems like. That sloped runway reminds me a bit of Courchevel Airport...🙂... From the mountains to the (coastal) flatlands of FL, nice trip here. I have (virtually) much toured the Blue Ridge Mountains of NC, but 2NC0 is probably non-existent in my (stock) MSFS/Xbox...will check...
