Very Low FPS on Take Off Only

Featured Replies

Just today I experienced something I had never had before. My FPS went from 30 to 8-10. However when reaching 80kts and airborne, it all went back to normal. I can reproduce the scenario 3-4 times with the same result. This happens only today. I am using LSFG Adaptive Mod to 60FPS.

Is this server/connection issue?

Thank you.

Nevermind. It turns out my GPU cant handle High Texure Res. Going medium now, all is good.

UPDATED:

Nope, still occurs, this time 6 FPS

I, too, am having the same experience. I noticed this after SU1.

I am running an RTX3080Ti. MSFS2024 is now unusable in VR for the takeoff roll and landings.

In 2D, the airplane is barely controllable during takeoff and landing.

I love MSFS2024, but the performance inconsistencies are genuinely frustrating.

It may be because of the additional loading of airport objects as you move along the runway. Try AutoFPS - it'll help.

I'm having the exact same issue. My frame rate is usually around 30FPS. (This is with an RTX 2070 Super, using DLSS Preset K).

At takeoff and landing this is going down to single digits.

I have tried using different aircraft (i.e. from FBW A320, Ini A350, to Cessna 150) but get the same result.

After takeoff, as soon as I am clear of the immediate vicinity of the airport, frame rates return to normal.

I have tried using AutoFPS but the frame rate simply gets too low for it to be of any help.

The RTX 2070 Super is a bit long in the tooth and only has 8GB of VRAM but it is strange that the frame rate just goes off a cliff, solely on the takeoff or landing phases of a flight.

Hear hear.

Spending 10 minutes before take off hoping that the necessary files are streamed, didn't work. It seems to me it is not internet connection related issue.
