March 9, 20251 yr I've been seeing this issue recently with the elevator trim, either using Numpad 1/7 or the buttons I set in MSFS or FSUIPC as elevator trim up/down: The funny thing is that it only happens with the GA aircraft I have. With airliners, it doesn't happen (maybe because the trim signal is intercepted and modulated, I guess?). Reading here and in other forums, I'd expect AI autotrim to be the culprit. However, I have it off. Furthermore, if I turn it on, it starts to move by itself smoothly, as you can see in the final seconds of the video. It wasn't like that before. The only workaround I've found is ussing offsets in FSUIPC for trim. But it shouldn't be needed. How to fix this? Somehow it looks like an FSUIPC issue. As soon as I assign the profile I have in FSUIPC for GA aircraft (the default one I have is for airliners), I get this issue. EDIT: I confirm it's an FSUIPC issue. I tried downgrading FSUIPC, from version 7.5.2 (the latest one) to 7.5.1. After doing this, trim behaves as expected. March 10, 20251 yr Have you tested default MSFS2020 aircraft with FSUIPC version 7.5.2? If so, which ones? Edited March 10, 20251 yr by vonmar Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
March 11, 20251 yr Author Yes: the 172 (with steam gauges), the DHC2 (that arrived with the A310 in SU11 I think) and the Pipistrel, which are the ones I use. March 11, 20251 yr Author 4 hours ago, vonmar said: MSFS2020 C172 Trim ok Understood. Thanks for your confirmation. There must be something in the profile I've set then, that gets affected with the new trim calibration feature implemented for FSUIPC 7.5.2. Or at least this is what I see in the changelog: "- Allow the ELEVATOR_TRIM_SET event to be calibrated". This wasn't implemented yet in 7.5.1 and may explain why I don't get the issue there. Guess I'll have to re-RTFM.
