I installed version 1.7.1 into MSFS 2024 using the 2024 option in the installer (ie did not simply copy my 2020 installation over to 2024) now the sim hangs at 96-98% every time.. Disabling the installation allows the sim to start normally. Re-enabling the installation ( using msfs linker) and the hang returns. I have also tried with the installation in the community folder directly, avoiding using Addon Linker altogether but it does not seem to make any difference. I have waited over an hour, so it is not simply a slow start.  Suggestions?

I have not seen any other reports similar to this here or on the Flysimware Discord, at least not yet. I would suggest you MANUALLY delete all the Lear folders/files from the Community folder, and then try a reinstall. As you probably know, the Lear installer first deletes the existing install, and then does the reinstall. But if some of the Lear files are corrupted somehow, the installer may not delete all the files it should. That's why I suggest you first delete the Lear files manually.
If that doesn't help, then try copying the Lear folders from the FS2020 Community folder to the FS2024 Community folder.

Thank you. The 2024 install was a fresh installation, so there should have been no prior files to overwrite. Having said that, I will do as you suggest and manually remove the 2024 folder from Community, and do a re-install.

So, I removed the folder from MSFS 2024 manually and reinstalled. Still hung. Moved the FS2020 copy to 2024...still hung, even though it works perfect in 2020. Finally determined it is a livery that I created myself that is causing the hangup. The livery works perfect in 2020, but it causes a hang on load in 2024. I did follow the direction to remove all but the GPS 530 copies  in the cfg file, and as I said, the livery works perfect with version 1.7.1 in 2020, but it hangs in 2024.

So, new question..what is different with liveries in 2024 that would cause a functional 2020 livery to hang up in 2024???
