March 31, 20251 yr Guys, after hours of struggling found this forum Set up everything and got the AAO to connect to the sim. It even shows the name of the aircraft that I'm in, but for the life of me cant get stream deck to actually work in the sense when I press a button the the deck, nothing happens in the sim. any ideas? Had to change the port and set the firewall rules to get the AAO to connect to sim but it finally did. Can't understand why the streamdeck doesn't work though. Using a Streamdeck mobile.

That sounds very wrong right from the start. SimConnect doesn't need either of that (unless you are running AAO on a different computer from the simulator - ???). Are you quite certain that you are using the correct version of AAO for your simulator? 2 hours ago, deepakvrao said: get stream deck to actually work in the sense when I press a button the the deck, nothing happens in the sim. Why would you expect that and what should happen? The StreamDeck is not a "button box", nothing will happen just like that. You need the AAO StreamDeck Plugin, then StreamDeck profiles that were made for that plugin and for the aircraft that you are flying in the sim, and you will potentially have to import a bunch of scripts into AAO that come with the StreamDeck profile (depends on how the profile author made it). 2 hours ago, deepakvrao said: any ideas? Not really. You would have to provide a lot more information: - What simulator? - Which aircraft? - Which version of AAO? - Which version of the StreamDeck plugin? - What profile are you using with the StreamDeck plugin? Did you contact the author? - Why are you mentioning the firewall and ports regarding AAO's connection to the simulator? By default, SimConnect is using pipes, unrelated to any IP tech/firewalls etc. Only specific setups require this, most notably when AAO is run on a separate computer?? 2 hours ago, deepakvrao said: Using a Streamdeck mobile. You mean the StreamDeck app that is running on your phone? Sorry, I'm not familiar with that, I only have hardware StreamDecks. Edited March 31, 20251 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
March 31, 20251 yr With my midi device, I need to do the following: 1. close AAO 2. disconnect and reconnect usb device plug 3. restart AAO I've never had success with my MIDI devices. Apparently, it's a MIDI-WIndows issue. Edited March 31, 20251 yr by flyforever

I've had a problem with my X Touch Mini and VrInsight FCU stopping working during a flight in the last couple of days, (been away for 10 days) I blamed SU2 beta. I will try this, if it happens again next flight

For my soultion you don't even have to close and restart AAO. 1. unplug-replug usb connector to my X-Touch mini 2. in AAO menu under Hardware/"MIDI devices enabled" uncheck then recheck And then it works. Have you found a solution since these posts above? Or any chance perhaps to implement a clickbutton on the app interface for example next to "Save database now" button which would at least uncheck/recheck the "MIDI devices enabled" function in the background to make it a one click workaround? 🙂

I've had MIDI problems with WIN 11 from the start. I frequently have to pull the plug on the XT and reconnect it (I do it before starting AAO). But this doesn't seem to be a consistent problem, sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. Ultimately this is for Microsoft to figure out - waves are a lot higher with the music/DAW community regarding these MIDI issues, so there is hope. Edited August 17, 2025Aug 17 by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
