April 13, 20251 yr During my previous post, I'd made a reference to Boeing 787-8, so, I thought today of flying a 787. Since, I do not own a 787-8 variant, I chose to fly, instead, the Asobo/MSFS 787-10 for this post. I recall, last time, I had attempted to fly this -10 in MSFS2024/Xbox, I'd run into some kind of issues. Today, however, it flew perfectly on this test-flight of mine, as I lift off northward from Runway 36R of LEMD (Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport) and land back on (ILS) Runway 18L. I've defined, on the FMC, the (published) STAR Procedure into Runway 18L, with Transition/IAF LULER (see my 2nd shot (ND Close-up) for the successive waypoints of this approach). On the north side of LEMD airport, not too far, there are some pretty mountains. Per the Altitude constraint (8,000 ft) of LULER waypoint, I've also climbed to 8,000 ft altitude (to keep clear of these mountains...🙂...) while maintaining the Runway 36R heading and flying near (and above) these mountains that belong to the Sierra de Guadarrama range (see few images below). Everything worked well today for this flight with the 787-10 (which is always a sense of satisfaction in MSFS2024...🙂...), and it was good to fly (again) this Boeing airplane of my alter ego...🙂...especially in the colors of KLM Blue which is a favorite of mine. The basic (and adequate) rendition of the Madrid Airport (see few images below) is by Gaya Simulations (couldn't ask for more as a default enhancement...🙂...). This airport scenery needs to be streamed from the library to be enabled in the SIM. Hope you enjoy this collection of images. Thanks for viewing...!

April 20, 20251 yr Author John, pmplayer, Andreas, Will: Many thanks and glad you liked the KLM 787-10...in Spain...🙂... The airplane flew well for me...no flightdeck avionics loss in mid-flight, which is something I've sometimes experienced with this Asobo/MSFS version 787...
