August 25, 2025Aug 25 In P3D v5 LM changed the way road traffic is defined. The thread below explains, https://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=143897 Cheers Ryzen 5800X clocked to 4.7 Ghz (SMT off), 32 GB ram, Samsung 1 x 1 TB NVMe 970, 2 x 1 TB SSD 850 Pro raided, Asus Tuf 3080Ti P3D 4.5.14, Orbx Global, Vector and more, lotsa planes too. Dave I don't know about v6 but yes v4 & 5 does have somewhat jerky road traffic that's very visible when close. However it is possible to make road traffic super smooth with Lossless Scaling, but you need to run the sim at 1/3 the target LS frame rate, e.g. 20 fps (sim) and 60 fps (LS), result will be the road traffic runs smooth, must have something to do with the fps the default road traffic runs at. This short vid made when I was first evaluating Lossless Scaling shows the road traffic smoothing effect. I will definitely be trying Lossless Scaling soon. By the way, I absolutely love flying right over the buildings and treetops in small GA planes like you did in this video, it's endless fun 🙂 Specs: MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon board, Ryzen 5800X CPU, 3600Mhz Corsair RAM, Sapphire Nitro+ RX 6900 XT GPU Favorite Sims: FSX:SE, P3Dv5.4, X-Plane 11 & 12
