May 27, 20251 yr Going through my loft recently. came across some exam papers for when I was revising for my Airline Transport Pilots Licence back in the 70's (called ATP, I think in many countries). The UK Civil Aviation Authority would let you buy previous papers, just for practice, no answers suppled, but still useful. Actually, now they seem pretty tough for me, wouldn't have a chance of answering most of the question! They were divided into various sections: NAVIGATION GENERAL NAVIGATION PLOTTING NAVIGATION INSTRUMENTS NAVIGATION RADIO AIDS NAVIGATION FLIGHT PLANNING METEOROLOGY THEORY METEOROLOGY PRACTICAL Will post some examples over the next week - starting with a Navigation General paper from 1977. Be curious as to how they compare with the written exams in other countries, or even if the UK does this type of paper anymore? https://postimg.cc/bGnhPKn4 https://postimg.cc/0M9H430Y https://postimg.cc/Y4RxvSQF https://postimg.cc/PCkbKD4Z Edited May 27, 20251 yr by Overload Display issue

Thanks for sharing FYI, Questions 7 and 8 are almost mirror images of what you can see in EASA Subject 033 "Flight Planning and Monitoring"-exams. But we have the luxury of multiple choice nowadays (but still use the trusty wiz wheel /flight computer) EASA PPL SEPL + NQ / CB-IR in progress MSFS24 | X-Plane 12
