WOAI in FSX

Featured Replies

This has probaably been discussed before but I couldn't find what I was looking for so please don't "jump" on me, I'm new to FSX.I would like to install WOAI packages in FSX.1. I would like to know if they are fully conpatible and what will happen to my default AI?2. Is there a way to keep the default GA AI and remove the airlines AI?3. I have Vancouver+ with FSX style AI selected, will it desappear? The instructions mention that FS9 style packages make FSX style desappear. Thanks for all your comments.Dan

Currently, WOAI will cause your default ai to disappear. However it can be fixed :)Get a copy of bglfpfsxconvert and run your woai BGL files against it, and your defaults will return.Tim

Hi Dan,as Tim said. Also, if you deactivate trafficAircraft.bgl (rename to .OFF or .bak) to get rid of the default airlines you can install separate files compiled by Reggie Fields that will return the GA AI traffic: http://www.flightsim2004-fanatics.com/uplo...A/Def_GA_DL.htmCheers, Holger

Thanks guys for your help, it is really apreciated.Dan

After you get them converted over, you'll need to do more if you want your AI to park correctly in FSX. It involves changing the wing_span entry and it can't be said enough in the community. If you don't care if your 747's wings touch each other, then you can skip doing this, but if you care, here is a thread for detailed info:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=searchRhettFS box: E8500 (@ 3.80 ghz), AC Freezer 7 Pro, ASUS P5E3 Premium, BFG 8800GTX 756 (nVidia 169 WHQL), 4gb DDR3 1600 Patriot Cas7 7-7-7-20 (2T), PC Power 750, WD 150gb 10000rpm Raptor, Seagate 500gb, Silverstone TJ09 case, Vista Ultimate 64ASX Client: AMD 3700+ (@ 2.6 ghz), 7800GT
