Photogrammetry ON makes some airports impassable

Featured Replies

Hello

I don't fly in the US on flight sim much and as such don't own many add on airports in that part of the world. Today I flew into KSEA which is one of the handcrafted Asobo airports. While the detail of the airport itself is quite nice, I noticed there were black lines where the terrain squares join on the airport, as well as some rather large cliffs and steps where the terrain levels are different from one tile to the next. If you hit these at speed like while landing or taking off it would catapult your aircraft into the air and cause a crash.

It seems these are related to photogrammetry being on in the area, as turning it off seems to make these issues disappear. It's a bit of a visual downgrade generally though, so I wondered if anyone else knew of a different workround?

I have photogrammetry on and am not seeing this. No cliffs, no black lines, and the airport fits seamlessly into the surrounding terrain as far as I can tell. Downtown Seattle is highly detailed, so clearly the PG is working. Not sure what your problem might be. Have you tried turning off all your add-ons?

In 2020 or 2024?

I assume 2024 since that is listed in your specs. Isn't that the sim we're talking about?

You didn't by chance happen to add another KSEA? Check your content manager by typing in the search KSEA.

That is strange. Maybe your content folder (or the sim) has it uninstalled? Try deactivating/reactivating it. Just a thought.

No only have one KSEA enabled, which is the Asobo one. I queried on the official forum as well and apparently there are reported elevation issues with this airport specifically at the 34R end.
