MSFS 2020 Does Not Load

Featured Replies

I have a new Windows 11 PC. Have installed MSFS 2020. This was not an easy process and had to use Xbox to install even tho the game was purchased from the Microsoft store. It partially loads. gets about half way (to Bush Trips screen) then just aborts with no message. I have followed a number of suggestions in the FlightSimulator forum but no luck.

Nothing is in the Community folder, Windows language is correct, time and date correct, FS is currently in "vanilla" mode, but still does not load up. Running as administrator.

Does anyone have any other suggestions to try. I could clone my old pc but don't really want to bring over all the stuff I dont want.

Thanks for any help.

Martin

Try starting in Safe Mode.

Thank you, not a bad idea. I tried in safe mode but when I click on "run as administrator" nothing happens.

If you have the NVDA app uninstall it immediately and try again.  Make sure you uninstall it through the app itself.  I had this situation not getting passed the blue loading bar screen and it was cured by uninstalling the NVDA app and had not occurred ever since.

update - managed to get fs20 working on the new pc, but only after a day and a half of trying many suggestions found thru internet searches without success. As a last resort, I reinstalled Windows, then reinstalled fs20, and to my surprise the Sim launched. I have no explanation as to why this worked.

Thanks for the replies.
