Pop out instruments in BSQ Professional?
I have the cargo master and amphibian of the new BSQ Caravan Professional. In the BSQ Analogue version of the C208, the avionics instrument would pop out by the right shift and click. This does not work on the Professional, at least for me. Is it supposed to pop out? Thanks Martin

Unable to Steer Aircraft on Taxi with Rudder
Thanks for the reply. Yes, controls work in sim. Have not tried other aircraft but will do so. Would take several flights to confirm consistency.

Unable to Steer Aircraft on Taxi with Rudder
Having intermittent problems with steering the Cessna 208 Caravan on the ground using the rudder. Not always - works ok sometimes but not the next. I have checked all the bindings and have removed any that might conflict. Have tried with rudder axis set up via MSFS controls and also via AAO's but same problem exists. Using MSFS 2024 store version. Anyone else encountered this and is there a permanent solution? An internet search suggests this might be a system problem? Thanks for any comments. Martin

Compass Headings in Flightplan?
I have managed to import a lengthy flightplan from Simbrief into LNM. The map shows distance of each leg but it would be very helpful if it also showed the compass heading of each leg. I know I can bring this up for each leg manually using ("Measure from here). Is there a setting so that compass headings are shown automatically. I have looked at the manual but don't see anything. Thanks for any comments. Martin

Propwash PWS530 Question
Sorry for being slow in response. If you go the Propwash Simulations website, there is a download page where you can download the plugins and instructions to get it work in MSFS 2020. Mine works fine in 20, but have not been able to get it to work in 24. Good luck.

Flaps assignment for Maule m7 235
Thank you for the reply. Am using the flaps lever on the Bravo quadrant. With further experimentation, have found settings that take flaps to full 48 extended. Probably not the best way to do it, but three settings - Axis Flaps Set, Flaps Incr and Flaps Incr. Flaps Up brings flaps back to full retract. My AAO's does not recognize the lever press as an axis so not getting the events option, unless I am not understanding. If possible, I would prefer for the flaps lever to move with each press instead of to full extended on one press. Thanks again for your help. Martin

Flaps assignment for Maule m7 235
Good afternoon. Just got the Maule M7 235 for msfs 2024 and am trying to find a setting where flaps will go to full extend. If I start with engines running flaps are set at 48, but I with engines not running cannot find a setting which gets them more than 24 even after engine start. I think I have tried every setting in AAo's but don't understand the various numbers that can be adjusted. Can you give me a quick suggestion here? As always, thanks for your help.. Martin

49" Curved Monitor?
I would be interested in any comments about using a 49" curved monitor for MSFS 2024. Is there distortion at the edges? I am thinking about a curved monitor but perhaps a 32" model would work better? I currently have three monitors with the picture stretched across for cockpit view. Thanks for any comments. Martin

Installed FS 24 on Drive D:
I have msfs 2020 on drive c and still use it, so I installed msfs 2024 Steam edition on drive d. Whenever I start fs 24 from drive d, the program gets installed on drive c. Even if I delete it from c, it gets reinstalled when I start up from d. Not a huge problem but seems strange. I have made sure the startup path is set to d. Can someone tell why it is doing this and how to stop it? Thanks. Martin

Propwash PWS530 Question
Good morning all. I have Propwash's PWS530 device. It works great in FS 20 but I can't get it working in FS 24. It shows as connected to the sim and the com port is correct, but the device does not interact with the aircraft. It would be great if someone else who has this device has it working in FS 24 and can give me some direction. I have asked Propwash for help without getting a reply, and my sense is that they are not longer around. Martin

MSFS 2020 Does Not Load
update - managed to get fs20 working on the new pc, but only after a day and a half of trying many suggestions found thru internet searches without success. As a last resort, I reinstalled Windows, then reinstalled fs20, and to my surprise the Sim launched. I have no explanation as to why this worked. Thanks for the replies.

MSFS 2020 Does Not Load

MSFS 2020 Does Not Load
I have a new Windows 11 PC. Have installed MSFS 2020. This was not an easy process and had to use Xbox to install even tho the game was purchased from the Microsoft store. It partially loads. gets about half way (to Bush Trips screen) then just aborts with no message. I have followed a number of suggestions in the FlightSimulator forum but no luck. Nothing is in the Community folder, Windows language is correct, time and date correct, FS is currently in "vanilla" mode, but still does not load up. Running as administrator. Does anyone have any other suggestions to try. I could clone my old pc but don't really want to bring over all the stuff I dont want. Thanks for any help. Martin

Waiting for Simconnect problem
You are exactly right. I have been changing settings, views etc in fs 20 and fs 24 and somehow ended up using the wrong version of AAO in fs 20. So it is now working correctly. Thanks again for your help.

Unable to set rudder axis
Yes, I just went to Windows control panel (not Settings) and brought up devices. Going from memory here, right click on the rudder pedals, then advanced and I think it brings up the calibration page. You will find it ok. I don't know if it would allow changes so sensitivity.

Waiting for Simconnect problem
Thank you for the reply. I did a Windows app repair on FS 2020, uninstalled and reinstalled AAO, and downloaded the sdk file from the Dev mode but still no connection. I installed the AAO demo version and this connects to the sim ok, so am wondering if it is something else other than simconnect?

Waiting for Simconnect problem
I start MSFS 2020 and AAO as administrator. The AAO page shows "Waiting for Simconnect". If I click on Simconnect, it changes to "Connect to Simulator", but does not connect. I was working fine but it looks like I have done something to cause this problem but do not recall what that might have been, Thanks for help in getting back to normal. Martin

Unable to set rudder axis

Unable to set rudder axis
Good morning. I have not been successful in setting the rudder axis in my C208, Fs 2020, in Controls, Axis and Ohs and even Spad next. It will however set in FSUIPC. I do not have anything else assigned in FSUIPC and would prefer system Controls or AAO. This was not a problem until recently and rudder axis assignment was ok before. All flight assistance boxes are checked to off. Controls and AAO recognize the pedals (Saitek) but there is no reaction in the aircraft (with engines running). Any suggestions would be appreciated. A bit late but I have been trying different settings. I now have the Twin Otter throttle set up following the settings you suggested above in the second alternative. So thanks again for your help.

Thank you very much for the additional suggestions. I was unable to make much headway with the first suggestion. I will try the others this morning.
