Are there any updates for 2020 in the coming months?

Or is it forgotten about?

Mike

Why do you want an update?

Maybe Mike is thinking of a 2024 update. So do i.

Does 2024 need Rex accuseason? I thought 2024 has seasons.

Accuseason for 2020 allows you to distill the season down to the specific week of the year, for the area you are in, and handles that well across most regions.  Are you able to match that in 2024?  I have not seen such a setting or level of control.  Perhaps I have missed it.

I don't use 2024 yet, so I don't know.

I use accuseason in 2020 but I never change the date, always use the current time of the season.

Seasons are gradual in 2024, for example trees will slowly change colour, it doesn't just happen instantly.

It's based on the date and time you've set in the sim. It is region based, Japan even has its cherry blossom season from March to May.

This is one of the best features of 2024 in my opinion, that for some reason has not seemed to draw much comment. You can see this in action by pausing the sim in any geographical area where trees and foliage change with seasons, opening the drop-down weather, and observing what happens when you manually change the date one day at a time. You will see very realistic day-to-day changes over the entire year -- something I think you will not find in any other sim or in any add-on, at least not any that I know of. This happens automatically in MSFS2024 and requires no installation or settings adjustment.
