You sure? DLSS adds ghosting by the nature of how it works for.. if you are saying it's crisp and clear in 2020, it might not be enabled. Try TAA and see how you get along.

Well, I am sure that I do not see the numbers fading-in in MSFS 2020 but I do see the fading-in in MSFS 2024.  If there is any fading (aka ghosting) in MSFS 2020, it must be so slight that I cannot see it.  Yes, DLSS is enabled in both MSFS environments.  ANTI-ALIASING is set to NVIDIA DLSS SUPER RESOLUTION.  NVIDIA DLSS SUPER RESOLUTION is set to BALANCED. 

The interesting thing is that I was running TAA in MSFS 2020 for 2.5+ years then about a month ago while I was testing settings in MSFS 2024, I wanted to see the value of a similar setting in MSFS 2020 and through pure coincidence I noticed my Anti-Aliasing setting had changed to DLSS.  This change must have been made by an Asobo update.  I did not make this change and I do take snapshots of settings whenever I make changes.  Due to some of the problems I had been reading about DLSS, I had never implemented it but now that the change was made by the gremlins 😄, I will keep it for MSFS 2020 and the jury is out for MSFS 2024 pending the outcome of my experience with TAA.

Interesting! I deleted 2020 a while back, but DLSS was never as crisp as TAA when I used it. It wasnt' bad, certainly flyable, but not as good. If you're saying that they fixed it in 2020, that's a good thing cause it will likely get fixed in 2024 as well.
