Flights vanishing from MSFS 2024 Log Book

Featured Replies

I was very pleased this weekend and towards the end of last week as Ive been doing a number of long flights in the Fenix A320 as well as some GA flights.

Many of the flights were 3 plus hours long yet despite perhaps some initially appearing in the Log Book they no longer do, even if date order is correct. Its like they never happened.  I am unsure if they have even gone amiss on my total flight hours which I am trying to build.  I was recently in the SU3 beta then reverted to SU2 recently but have certainly carried out a couple of long flights in SU2.  I am NOT using Developer Mode as I know that stops hours being logged.

I do run Volanta on Fenix flights as I use a simbrief flight plan but to be honest I am not a fan of that app.  Cant easily scroll through your flight history, once you select a flight then press 'Back' it takes you back to the top of the history.

Very frustrating as I have no idea why MSFS2024 is not logging hours, or it does then some vanish.  I have actually just noticed it doesnt log repeat flights either.  Today I flew EIDW Dublin to EGLL Heathrow 2x in the Fenix.  Only 1 flight is listed.  Flown at different times of the day also!

Ive been reading a number of threads on Asobo forums and turns out this is a big problem plaquing the sim for the past couple of months, since SU2 beta.  I have at least 12 hours missing from the past couple of days.  Overview says I have flown 125 hours but log book says shows just 55 hours (not correct), since it is deleting many flights

Same here. Many years ago I started using the old fashion log book. All flights are accounted for. LOL

High end with 5090, VR, 2020 & 2024.

Do you ever use Developer mode? Flights aren't recorded in the log book if that mode is active, if I recall correctly.

Developer Mode not active. I'm aware hours are not logged if that is enabled.

Simply don't trust the in game log book, it's been iffy since 2020s release with flights going AWOL.

I've used Volanta for years and with hundreds of flights I can count on one hand the number of times I've lost a flight and I've got 3 fingers and a thumb to spare!
