July 22, 2025Jul 22 Hi all. So, after trying to get good performance for VR in MSFS 2024, I decided to reinstall MSFS 2020 to test it out. The program opened, I clicked some options it asked me to decide, and then when it should have opened, I got a CTD. Since then I cannot open the app. It starts to open, checks for updates, then CTD's. I am not sure how to find the problem. I am looking for suggestions on where to look, how to figure out why it crashes right before it delivers the home screen to me. Can you help. This is NOT a VR question, I can't even get the program to open up. Thanks. That was before I heard about possible from the Nvidia app. The system has now come up and I haven't uninstalled the Nvidia app yet. So far so good. July 23, 2025Jul 23 Same issue here with my Msfs 2020 , It starts to open, checks for updates, then CTD. I've never had problems with CTD before , all up to date , no Nvidia app 😞 I have no idea what caused it.
