July 27, 2025Jul 27 Hi guys, cloned my F drive which hold my 2020 and 24 sim. The cloned drive does still how as the F drive so thats good , but when I launch FS2020 its not locating it. All the other apps that auto launch with MSFS via addon linker start just fine "Microsoft Flight Simulator can’t open because it is offline. The storage device might be missing or disconnected." Anyone know what I need to do? But thats alot of data I had similar issues when cloning to a new drive. Once it was recognized the installation deleted everything in the onestore folder and started to download everything again. I stopped the installation, put all those files back from the original drive, started new installation from MS Store, immediately stopped it, then started the sim. The second time it finally recognized the existing files and the install was tiny. It was a pain. Previously when reinstalling, the files would always be recognized and it would be quick, but something about being on new drive screws up the process. Edited July 27, 2025Jul 27 by desbean
