MSFS 2024 Safe Mode

Featured Replies

I had a problem with msfs 2024 not loading so I shut in down in the task manager, the next time I started it it was in safe mode. I shutdown again and restarted normally. The thing is the next time I started it I lost all my community folder content. I had to re-activate them all in the marketplace my library section. Any idea how to prevent this it is a real pain to have to go through and load all of them again.

Thank you

Been there, done that, and it won't fool me again.

Don't click safe mode, would be my recommendation. Instead rename your community folder, create a new, empty one, and reboot normally. If all works as expected, move the addons you want back into the new community folder. One or a few at a time, preferably.

I don't have 2024, but whenever 2020  shuts down  for whatever reason, it always gives me the option of starting either in normal or safe mode. Does 2024 not give that option anymore?  I never select safe mode.

Yes it still gives you the option, msfs 2020 would load in safe mode but when you reload it would activate my community folder. Not so in msfs 2024
