  1. I loved the JS41 in FSX. Although no doubt I’d be disappointed if I tried it again today.
  2. You can’t go wrong with any of these. Baron/Bonanza bundle gives you both singles and twins. Starship if you want something different. i haven’t got the Aerostar yet, but it is definitely on my list.
  3. In MSFS I find it easier to fly airliners than the smaller planes, assuming you know the basics already. They are more stable, so easier to land. Try one of the default and go from there.
  4. Possibly not much bigger than a Caravan, though 🙂
  5. A fix still coming soon? I couldn't use BATC at EDDK today.
  6. I stand corrected 🙂 However, you should check that your addons (I think you mentioned the TDS GTNxi and PMDG in your other thread) are supported.
  7. Aviaplanner doesn't have navdata updates. FS2024 has charts (and up-to-date navdata that can be used by some planes), so Aviaplanner is probably redundant if you are using that sim.
  8. Probably not, unless you want the most recent navdata. Which, by the sounds of it, you are happy without.
  9. I’m sure it is a fine, subscription-free EFB that matches your requirements perfectly. Navigraph delivers a completely different set of products.
  10. I bought 2020 standard edition and 2024 premium deluxe edition. About five-six months ago, my 2020 version was automatically upgraded to premium deluxe also. I expect that you will get the same if you purchase 2024 premium deluxe today.
  11. As far as I can tell, everything. They are not really comparable products.
  12. There are a couple more that I need to switch before each flight. I’ve also noticed one or two that are in fact selected, but appear not to be. I just toggle everything before each flight to be sure. Yep - I keep a pressure conversion table at hand for that. There are some bugs they could perhaps have avoided, had they paid a bit more attention to detail. Still, no deal breakers as far as I’m concerned.
  13. Looks very nice. I passed on their A350, mostly based on reviewers and users that criticized it for high price, lack of depth, and poor performance. Not sure if that still has any merit? I’d really like a good looking A340 in MSFS. I don’t think it is boring at all, unless you think that description applies to all Airbuses. The -600 variant that Aerosoft/Toliss is doing isn’t even underpowered 😀
  14. Eye tracking? No, the principle should apply regardless of how you move your direction of view around. Another way to look at it, at TLOD 400 you won't have enough memory to keep everything loaded at the same time, and the objects that get purged may not be the ones you expect (i.e. those in the distance).
  15. I'm guessing this is memory management in action, trying (and failing) to fit objects from a very large volume into limited memory. It probably prioritizes objects in a cone in the direction of view, so when you look away, whatever you were looking at could be purged from memory almost immediately. Then, when you look back, you will see popping, as objects that were just purged now have to be loaded back into memory.
  16. It’s for X-plane: https://www.x-aviation.com/catalog/product_info.php/take-command-hot-start-challenger-650-p-212
  17. That's a good description. I think the devs (or maybe just their boss) would agree that's what they were aiming for. I have not idea whether or not they get subsidies from MS, I just think I got a good deal at $30. Personally, I wouldn't have bought it if it had the G5000 avionics. I like the older avionics, even if they are not fully simulated.
  18. I saw on the discord that others were complaining about this. I just selected "Separate Tiller Axis" in the EFB and assigned rudder and tiller axes as described on p. 29 in the manual. I didn't have to fiddle with rotation rate or smoothing. I don't think they are trying to compete with a $125 "study-level" addon. It does have some bugs and limitations, but for a $30 plane, I think it is very good. I've enjoyed it.
  19. I don't think they broke anything, if that's what you are afraid of. It flies like it did before the update. They added a working tiller and fixed some bugs. State saving still doesn't work properly in 2024, but going by your signature you are using 2020 so you are probably ok.
  20. The point is, it isn't very difficult to find examples of well-written AI-generated content that looks plausible, but is in fact complete rubbish. If you are the kind of person that checks sources, good for you - you are less likely to be fooled than most.
  21. At least, with the Internet in general, you have some means of looking at the source and deciding if you want to trust it or not. AI generated advice presents itself as authoritative, even when it is completely false. Which is fine, as long as you remember it's a tool - and learn how to use it.
  22. AFAIK the "Quiet Trader" freighter version (title of this thread) was never bought by anyone. Some BAe 146s were converted to freighters. If what you are looking for is an aircraft that is widely used today, this isn't it.
