September 2, 2025Sep 2 Just a quick flight across the Atlantic to Milan. It's also my third flight with the aerosoft A330. Pretty dark crossing across the Atlantic The sun rising as we approach England. A nice view of the Alps during our descent for Milan. Some scattered showers on our approach to Runway 35R. September 3, 2025Sep 3 I was thinking your first long-haul flight might have been from Toronto Pearson to London Heathrow...🙂... Great set of pictures here, from P3D. The A330 is close to my heart ...🙂...And this (Toothpaste) Air Canada Livery is also one of my favorites... [BTW, if you're interested, you may visit a recent post of mine "Death of Quadjets Era - A Case Study via Air Canada A340", where I flew an AC A340 in the same color as the one you've shown here ...] Wishing you many more (successful) long-haul A330 flights, beyond your 3rd...🙂...

Thanks and you too. Edited September 4, 2025Sep 4 by FSXCYYZEGLL

I'm glad you took a look at that A340 post of mine, and, indeed, you observation is correct. The (4-engined) A340s (the -200s/-300s) were equipped with the smaller (first generation) CFM56 series engines (the same series as used on the (narrowbody) A320ceo and B737NG twinjets) than what you might see e.g., on the (wide-body) twin-engined A330. The A330ceo used the much larger (and more powerful) GE CF6/PW4000/Trent 700 series engines. Nonetheless, the A340 has a remarkable safety record (has never been involved in a fatal accident), and was a stalwart of long-haul operations, for many airlines over a very long period of time. Lufthansa continues to use them today. It will be nice to see a couple of variants of the A340 in MSFS via Aerosoft/Toliss partnership and also iniBuilds. The A340 version you saw in my post was by LVFR. Enjoy the P3D/Aerosoft A330...!
