FlightFX Piaggio F180

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I intend to buy the FlightFX Piaggio F180 for MSFS 2020.

I am wondering if the aircraft has an autothrottle option and if there is a way to avoid using the MFS (perhaps by using an alternative configuration).

Thank you for your help.

Regards,

J

I have it and really like it. No auto throttle.

Also, when starting the take off roll advancing the throttle it is very sensitive and can easily over torque. There is a noticeable lag, like the rw, when advancing the throttles and engine response.

I have thousands of rw hours on PT6 variants and this one seems a little overly sensitive imho - not a deal breaker by any means. That said otherwise the aircraft is a joy to fly. it is well done.

So like the really aircraft it is important to be smooth and gentle with throttle application. Engines are significantly derated so there is decent power at high altitudes and it has the pressurization diff to go high. It is easily the better part of a 100kts faster at altitude than a beech 200 with the -41 engines. It is a very slippery aircraft.

I'd recommend looking up a real world pilot report. It is a really interesting aircraft.
