Great review. I picked up AF4 some time ago but really have spent little time on it. I had no idea before your review some of the interesting things it is capable of.

Sometimes I just want to fly without 15-30 minutes setup and seeing this video reminded me that a simple set up and go is one of the things this sim is all about.

As to VR this is something that other than a few times trying it out the last of which was 5+ years ago VR is something I have not a lot of knowledge about and would like to get into. My computer is equipped with a 7800x3d, 5057ti, 64 gigs ram, m.2 drives, so i would think it would do VR just fine. If you have suggestions as to which VR set ups I should have a look at they would be most welcome. I'm in Winnipeg on Canada's eastern prairies.....hopefully one day there may be some detailed scenery for AF4 here.

Thanks for this video.

New Addition:

I just did my first flight in quite some time, KSAN-KSBA, in the A350. It was such a nice experience. The A350 is well done for AF4. I just now need to find the manual for working with the FMS, adding sids, stars, approaches etc, if this can be done here.

Thanks for mentioning the Canadian airports. I will check them out. I've flown to probably all of them before i retired. Maybe down the road we'll see CYQR Regina, CYXE Saskatoon, CYYC Calgary & CYEG Edmonton.

I find not having real world weather just fine in AF4. I spend time with XP12, MSFS2020/24, so RW WX is there as are the more detailed aircraft.

I will visit AF4 more often now.

Tried it, didn't like it ... it doesn't bring anything new to the table that isn't covered in another sim.

It's definitely more simple to use, but so is XP and MSFS ... seems to be aiming at a market that is already covered.

Perhaps if AF4 brought in something we didn't already have like:

a.  ATC system that was accurate and realistic (as part of the product)

b.  Extremely realistic weather that is accurate to real world live weather (with accurate weather radar)

c.  Very deep aircraft systems depth

d.  A damage/failure system that impacts flight

e.  Very realistic flight physics simulation (well beyond XP/MSFS)

Happy to sacrifice visuals if just any 2 of the above were implemented ... then it would get a big thumbs up for me.
