P3D scenery.cfg question

Featured Replies

Tonight, while manually adding a scenery to my P3D (v5.4) I noticed that some of the entries were out of order. It would go Area.205, Area.207, Area.210. And it would be like that throughout the cfg file. I haven't noticed any errors or problems with my P3D so I am wondering if I should renumber the cfg or leave it alone?

If I should renumber it, is there a program that would do that for me? I have over 600 entries and it would take forever if I had to do it manually.

Hey Joseph. This will be because there are other titles installed via EXE installers and probably via the new add-on.xml sort of approach, most likely saved in your MyDocuments folder. Could also be Orbx titles or similar.

My advice would be to NOT renumber them, instead when adding something new yourself manually just add to the end of the file with the next avail scenery number.

Thank you very much.

P3DAddonOrganizer is the program you need. you move and backup your scenery, have scenery placed above an airport can cause a problem. don`t let anything get into the bottom two entry`s of the base scenery,

I keep all addons above the base scenery then ORBX below my airports.

When you add scenery test fly if OK backup and save. You can track a problem with this tool do not delete anything in your scenery file disable first then test to track the problem,
