November 6, 2025Nov 6 One last flurry of B737 shots in P3D. Out of EGLL, across True Earth GB and Netherlands, and in to EHAM. EGLL is Aerosoft but EHAM is native. Neither are particularly wonderful but I'm not looking for great airports in this restoration project. It's about the aircraft, and as decent a ground layer as I can get to fly over. Even the True Earth loses its shine a bit if you get too close, MSFS really has knocked everything else sideways as far as real up close and personal goes. But hey, that's the beauty of simming. Storage is not expensive and I've got loads of spare capacity anyway, so I can load up all the sims I want really. And it really is huge fun going back in to the old files and finding the various aircraft in there and trying them out. I bought (or grabbed freeware versions of) so many aircraft over the years I've actually forgotten about a lot of them. Just remembered my old Gloucester Javelin today. That'll be the next one to try out! And it's not all oldies stuff. Got a nice Thrandra F33 for XP that comes with some kind of dynamic livery maker feature - looking forward to having a go at that, and also waiting eagerly for the B-52 for 2024. Although I do have the CS FSX version of that so maybe I'll see if that works in P3D as well. So many planes, so little time <grin> Anyway, here's my Stubby on her journey to EHAM. And off we go - Neither the default airport nor my landing are terribly elegant so I'll spare you any more shots <grin> Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

November 8, 2025Nov 8 Lovely set of the Stubby, Andy...🙂...the classic livery looks good on this tiny jet, and, of course, you must be partial to this livery...🙂... (BTW, I wish I could have planned more transits through EGLL and EHAM...but recall well my two transits through Heathrow (both on BA 777s), one of them in the year they opened that nice T5 Terminal; and one transit through EHAM in a KLM MD-11 ...) Brings back some pleasant memories...Orbx TE looks nice here, btw... Thanks for sharing...!
