No real-time online traffic since SU4

Featured Replies

After installing SU4 I no longer get any real-time online traffic. I haven't changed any of my graphic or online settings. Do any of you have an idea what I may be overlooking and how to get this real-time online traffic back? Thanks a lot for any help/ suggestions.

Kind regards,
Hans van WIjhe

Look at your graphic settings.   I use AIG and it reverted back to default traffic after the update.  I fixed the settings and now I see all my AIG planes (Minus wheels on takeoff ;))

Thanks. Nothing changed, fortunately, wrt my graphic and online settings.
I'm not referring to aircraft at the ramps/gates but rather to real-time airborne traffic. None of those are to be seen while flying, no TCAS warnings whatsoever and none are even to be seen  at Little Nav Map. They're completely gone since updating to SU4.

Agreed! I used to line up to join the pattern at KLAX. Now there is no pattern. The skies are clear. I see aircraft on my instruments,  but only a very few actually appear in the sky.

I wonder if this is how I got the performance boost in SU4. Traffic has always been pretty hungry. 🤔

Nope. If you use any traffic addon (FSLtl, BATC, FSHud, AIG, etc), you will see the skies and the airports full of planes with no issues. I have 40-50 planes on screen sometimes, never an issue.

For example. BATC, Fenix, payware EHAM. You can see my FPS in the top right. 4K Ultra, framegen on.

Not on the tarmac... in the air. My airports are full too.

Same thing in the air. Traffic no longer affects FPS the way it used to. In fact, it's even better than on the ground, because you dont' have 50 planes right next to you. Easily cross 90 fps coming into a busy airport.

So are you saying the default live traffic is broken and I need an addon?

I'm not sure if default is broken or not, I don't use that. I vaguely recall reading that some people have had issues with live traffic in SU4.. Maybe try a search on the official forums?

I'm saying that traffic no longer affects FPS, that's all.
