HI, I live just south of the Twin Cities and came to Avsim to try to "escape" the sad events of today. This is truely a horrendous tradegy for all Minnesotans, particularily those in the Mpls/St.Paul area. We will all be dealing with the after effects of these events for many years to come.We are very grateful and fortunate that, at this time, it appears the death and injuries could have been much, much worse. I'm afraid it might rise, there are sill a lot of cars in the river. Gotta love the the media. I live near Toronto and we have a long raised highway running along the lake right into downtown. Now, I'm watching the news when they start the"Be afraid, be Very afraid" story. The anchor says to nobody in particular. "Can this happen here"? Oh no, run to the hills! I'd say 2 people out of 3 expressed fears of driving over bridges. Life's too short to get stressed out over some random tragedy that may never happen to you.My thoughts are with the families, who must now carry on without their father, mother, children and loved ones.Dave F.
