January 6Jan 6 Modifying the cameras.cfg settings for "instrument views" Hello, To create views or cameras accessible via keyboard shortcuts, I create my own custom views. For the PMDG 737-800 in MSFS 2020, the "instrument views" file is usually located here: …\Community\pmdg-aircraft-738\SimObjects\Airplanes\PMDG 737-800\cameras.cfg. In this file, for example, I create my own FMC view by modifying the "FMC" view: [CAMERADEFINITION.6] Title = "FMC" Guid = "{0644DCF5-4E0B-4562-8D33-F5DA2E341B5B}" Description = "" Origin = "Virtual Cockpit" … InitialZoom = 0.90 … InitialXyz = 0.27, -0.076032, -0.001398 InitialPbh = -59.06966, 0.00000, -0.000000 … I want to do the same thing with the 737-800 PMDG 2024, and that's where I'm having trouble. There are several camera.cfg files for the views. …\Community\pmdg-aircraft-738\SimObjects\Airplanes\PMDG 737-800\common\config …\Community\pmdg-aircraft-738\SimObjects\Airplanes\PMDG 737-800\presets\pmdg\PMDG 737-800 Model name\config When I modify the settings in any of the camera.cfg files, nothing changes in the views. Does anyone have a solution? If so, could they share it? Thanks in advance. January 6Jan 6 You need to put them into the subfolder of each variant, so presets->pmdg-> and then each subvariant. You can simply copy and paste the file from MSFS2020 and put it into each folder, works fine. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
January 7Jan 7 You could try Chaseplane especially if you haven't got very far with all the cfg stuff in 2024. Bruce Bruce Bartlett Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened." Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."
