Any 146/RJ enthusiasts here?

Hello,

My favorite airplane of all time is the Avro RJ. These birds will never be as popular as the Airbus and Boeing fleets, therefore I'm trying to build a community around the 146/RJ where we can talk about these birds, post screenshots, share tips etc.

If you want to be a part of this community, send me a PM and I'll send an invitation to my discord server dedicated to this bird. 🙂

Best Regards,

Johan

I loved the RJs.  I had a payware one for FSX and loved flying it.

I don't know why it never became more successful.  I suppose the 4-engine design didn't fare well against newer, more fuel efficient planes like the Embraer E-jets and Airbus A220.

I'll tell you about another jet that is similar and that I actually flew on - the Fairchild Dornier 328Jet.  It only has 2 engines and is a really neat little jet.  Unfortunately it can only carry about 30 passengers and just isn't economically viable for airlines.

One of my favourite jets for sure. I just love the unusual and somewhat dated cockpit layout.
