MSFS connection issues--cannot even load flight

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

I was on SU4 and elected not to proceed to SU5 beta to keep things steady. I've never had this issue but all of a sudden I'd get the forever spinning blue circle when loading a flight (any aircraft, anywhere). Couldn't even exit without ctrl-alt-delete. Thought maybe it was a win11 issue, no updates, multiple reboots, same issue. Reinstalled (via steam). Still same thing. Checked my internet connection and it is perfectly fine with all other software, speedtest shows everything is normal (and high speed). Once in a blue moon I had this issue but it seemed related to a user spike on the MSFS servers at certain times but now I can't even load a flight. I think I read somewhere that sometimes MSFS screws up wifi / internet settings but not sure what is going on. Help!

Thx

Figured it out....win32/systems/drivers/etc hosts file. delete file contents then save empty hosts, then fire msfs up again. No idea why this issue occurred.

Have you been using the Google Maps replacer as that can mess with the hosts file?

That would definitely cause that issue.
