FSX-SE and WIndows 11

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Well, it seems FSX-SE doesn´t like to run like in previous times under WIN10. I built a new AMD system (not high end, but more than enough for FSX) and the problem is VAS! We all know or knew this problem. I got it under control using DX10 with SteveFixer in Windows 10.

Now, in Windows 11 25H2, nogo. I have a home airport which I really know very well with all settings and weather, GSX2 with or without traffic etc. etc. Of course it was exciting using VAS Monitor, but it was controlable. The same setup in Windows 11, freshly installed, VAS is a killer.

That is very disappointing. Al efforts did not succeed. Windows 11, I love it.

Be careful

On my W11 computer, FSX/A struggles with VAS.  Also, (for me) huge issues with simconnect.  If I had the energy I would dump W11 immediately.
