Todays flight will take us along the Continental Divide in Southren Colorado. We will visit two major mountain ranges, The San Juan Mountains to the west and the Sangre de Cristo Range to the east. These ranges function as subranges of the Southern Rocky Mountains. We will also be doing a 25 mile stretch deep below the rim at the Black Canyon of the Gunnison as the scenery has been improved and is still a challenge.

This flight is 296 miles with 9 landings in very high terrain with two of the landings on grass strips. So you will need aa plane that can handle altitude between 8000 to 13000 ft. and do about 150 for this flight. I will be in my Piaggeo.
