After delivering several thousand gallons of motorcycle chain lube to Senegal for the Dakar offroad motorcycle rally, we were requested to fly 56,000 lbs. of what appeared to be dried oregano, basil and chopped parsley leaves to SNMN Lagos. For whatever reason our flight path was routed along the coast of the northwest African continent, despite being told that it was imperative to deliver this cargo to its destination posthaste. Since asking questions doesn't pay the bills, we prepared for a quick departure following the mantra "Good business is where you find it".

Once at cruising altitude, I disappeared into the galley to make dinner and before I knew it, the sun had set and we prepared for our nighttime arrival...
