SAAB 340B.... How?!?

Featured Replies

Early this week I decided I wanted to have a go with the SAAB 340B, provided in FS2024.
Bad decision... I still haven't been able to start/fly it.

I consider myself reasonable experienced (30+ years flight sim experience), but this aircraft is driving me crazy :-)
As a Spad.Next user, I had lots of issues assigning axis to throttles and condition levers.
Not caused by Spad.Next but apparently the SAAB doesn't use standard axis assignments. Finally to I management to find the required B:Vars

Now I can't start the engines, most likely because the engine covers are still there (together with the chocks).
How can I remove those? The tablet doesn't provide any clicks/settings.
I think I have to use the 'character' mode (whatever that is) but Ctrl-E (as assigned in my settings, not Shift-C) doesn't do anything.
My aim is before the end of this year to have things sorted out......

Can anyone explain what/where I have to do?

Try Alt-Q. WFM. YMMV. TANSTAAFL. blue skies,

Like almost all aircraft in MSFS2024, you either need to click on the covers, while in walkaround mode, or else assign a key press to "QUICK PREFLIGHT". On pressing that key while in walkaround mode, all covers, chocks, etc will be removed.
