Everyone knows boats make airplanes WAY more fun! And thanks to MilTech's SuperCarrier, we can even operate from France's own aircraft carrier.

While Rafale C is the land based airframe, Rafale M has the necessary reinforcement (and a slightly different nose gear). We're going to squint here and pretend everything's in order for carrier ops!

Preparations at the forward catapult:

Gotta show the carrier off to keep the Admiral happy:

A short flight and then right back to the battle group. Approaching at 2,000', left hand holding pattern until cleared to land:

Cleared to land, hook down as we fly alongside at 800' & 350kts in preparation for the break:

After passing the bow and performing a left overhead break to downwind, we slow down, dirty up, drop to 600' and stabilize On Speed AoA. We're turning final:

We're in the groove but WAY too slow, too low and off center - SLOPPY! But that's why we train! Rafale has plenty of power, so we're able to fake it til we make it:

Recovered aboard, but it was graded a Cut Pass and certainly would've been a Wave Off IRL:

All in all, the SuperCarrier package brings a lot of options to the game and keeps any sort of boredom away (and yeah, if you really want to, it works with ANY aircraft you happen to be flying). 🙃
