October 25Oct 25 I’m new to AAO so sorry if this is answered somewhere. Is it possible to switch a streamdeck page from AAO? I have 3x streamdecks (XL, standard and plus) and would like to press a AAO configured button and switch the page on the plus. The idea is I have 8 buttons displaying data from AAO and pressing any of the buttons changes pages to change the function of the encoders, the buttons are just repeated on each page with the active button highlighted in a different colour. Thanks WhatIF?
October 25Oct 25 Commercial Member Hello, sorry, but no, that is not possible just like that. The StreamDeck SDK doesn't allow it. Profiles | Stream Deck SDK Quote:"Plugins do not have access to user-defined profiles, and therefore cannot switch to them. Plugins can only switch to profiles distributed with the plugin."Check out the PDF that comes with the AAO plugin, there is a chapter called "Switching to other profiles using scripts". Setting this up requires a special tool and some effort, and you can only switch to a different profile, not to a specific page inside a profile. Edited October 25Oct 25 by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
October 25Oct 25 Author Hi thanks for the quick reply, The plugin PDF on your website is Version 46.02 - 07.09.2025 and does not have the section mentioned. However the zip file com.lorbysi.aao.streamdeckplugin_72_01.zip has PDF Version 50.01 - 23.11.2025 inside which does have that section. I guess I could register each page as a profile and switch using that method but “SdProfileMappingTool.exe” does not run for me. :( Thanks againWhatiF?PS. From v6.5.0 this has been addedAdded support for switching to a specific profile page when calling switchToProfile.

October 27Oct 27 Author Thanks for looking.Details must be available as someone over on the Hangar Control discord has just released a small plugin (Deck Director 0.8.0). The plugin allows you to change pages of a profile that has adopted via a network message. It can call pages by name, page number, next, previous, first or last.Ah the Readme states this “Adoption relies on undocumented Stream Deck behaviour (tested on Stream Deck 7.5.1).”WhatIF?

The additional page parameter is there now in the SDK documentation. I will add that option to the next version of the AAO plugin. On 10/25/2026 at 9:30 PM, Whatif said:but “SdProfileMappingTool.exe” does not run for meThat happens because Elgato have changed the name of the profiles folder. Yes, this exists, but it only allows you to switch to the profiles that are part of your own plugin. Hence the detour with the additional mapping app. Edited October 27Oct 27 by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI

November 1Nov 1 Commercial Member Version 73.02 is out, it has the page parameter now.The SdProfileMapping tool has been fixed. This must be used before you can switch on any profile or page!I made a small script package demonstrating the technique using AAO RPN scripts:https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/5g7kh0dath6nnh2x8yf7b/SD_Ctrl_Scripts.zip?rlkey=fxpw9cp1bngd24fgp1v5b9zap&dl=0The script group is called "SD_Ctrl"Make sure to call the "init" script before doing anything else. Ideally configure it as a Global Automated Script, so you can't forget it. After that you can just use the "Toggle" scripts to browser through the profiles and their pages. Do that slowly, apparently the StreamDeck sometimes needs a while to catch up.If it doesn't work out of the box, check out the "switch" script of the group. It uses the internal Variable (L:SD_ID_2, String) to determine the ID of your StreamDeck device (if you have several, then there is more than one of these LVars). Change the variable name to the one correct for you. You may have to switch to a few different AAO profiles manually a couple of times before the LVar is visible. These scripts use a special feature of the SdProfileMapping tool - it creates a simple CSV file with all mapped profiles and the number of pages they have in "Documents\LorbyAxisAndOhs Files". The "init" script reads that file, and with that information it can toggle through all the mapped profiles and their pages. Edited November 1Nov 1 by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
Monday at 11:52 PM5 days Author Hi,Thanks for getting the update out so quickly. I had looked on your website earlier and noticed the update so gave it a go. All worked well but underscores in the SD profile name seemed to not work so I renamed the profile and it started working. It does everything I hoped for and I now have a buttons which display various radio/nav frequencies and pressing the button takes me to that radios page.I’ll check out you instructions above to see if I’m missing anythingThanks againWhatIF?

The command line is sent as-is, the underscores are definitely in there. LORBY-SI
