Placing an extra gauge in default C172/C182 VC

All I want to do is to place a single gauge in the large blank area on the right hand side of the default C172/C182 VC panel. It is a nice BIG blank space and it just cries out for some gauges to be added to it.Help!! :)Thanks for any help Barry

Download, install, and read the documentation in the Aircraft Container and Panels SDK - http://www.microsoft.com/games/flightsimulator/ , downloads, FS2004SDK. The panels SDK will give you good information on placing gauges on the panel.The VC is going to be trickier than the 2D panel.W. Sieffert

If that blank area isn't mapped for VC gauges, then you cannot add anything there. Which, having just checked is the case.
