September 25, 200718 yr Since we now have a round'ish earth and an altitude ceiling 1/12th the way to the moon, I'm wondering if we could put a satelite in orbit. =)This brings up the question of does the world turn. My guess is no, that we are dealing with a pre-copernician universe. But, it might be interesting to try. Although we might be limited to either geo-syncronous or orbits which lack the Earth's rotation, it might be fun to play with anyway.I propose a space race to see who can orbit the Earth first, since darn it we can't yet go to the moon. =)Thoughts?
September 25, 200718 yr Commercial Member I can see right through this; You're just looking for a place to park the Enterprise because the airport fees are getting out of hand. Admit it!--Jon Jon Blum Vertical Reality Simulations
September 25, 200718 yr Haha. Yeah, there is no space for the larger version next to the full-size shuttle at the space museum. =)Actually, earlier in the day I was thinking of doing an International Space Station, so then the Enterprise would have a place to hang out, haha. But, since then I've hooked up with some people that did work on the trek movies and am going to do a couple of other projects. :)Not to mention that I'm probably going to experiment with some high-res textures on the TOS ship too. What I really need is an air file guy to team up with me, and maybe someone that has a lot of experience with VC's. Modeling the bridge would not be to terrible difficult, but with these other trek projects, I'm not sure what I'll focus on.But hey, might be fun to try a compile where I put the sucker in orbit. :)

September 27, 200718 yr I think this might be of interest to the Virtual Air Force. If you could open include a window with the Top Down View and take a screen shot you could then simulate a KH-11 intel bird catching intelligence!!SFC EvansBaghdad, Iraq

I'm thinking would be cooler to have a space based Compass Hammer, or the *CENSORED*, or even the *CENSORED* which would *CENSORED* enemy stuff. For intell a few UAV's might be cool. Especially the one with the hellfires. =)Wouldn't that be cool!Patrick
September 28, 200718 yr PAtrick, why the International Space Staion? WHy not the Space Dock from Star Trek? HEck, go for broke.... the BattleStar from Star Wars!

HEck, go for broke.... the>BattleStar from Star Wars!Hmmmm....Not enough pics of the space dock to do it, if you mean the dry dock, and the "Battlestar" is from Galatica!I do have a 1/2 finished Star Destroyer somewhere, haha.
September 28, 200718 yr Author Moderator He meant, of course, the "Deathstar."There are a lot of pics of Deep Space 9, that would be cool! ;)Well, that and the Defiant, of course... Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
