Dynamic scenery

Recommended Posts

hey, i'm curious to know where i can get some dynamic scenery that'll work at any (major) airport. I'm not interested in downloading one scenery file for a specific place but rather a "generic" scenery file ready to be put in a scenery folder to work anywhere. If anyone has a idea about where to get some please reply, thanks.

Hello buzzard34(?),as far as I know there is no such think like a scenery, which can be used anywhere. A scenery is always connected to a certain location. You might look for libraries with objects, which *can* be used in dynamic sceneries. But you will need a scenery file for each location, where you want the dynamic objects to appear.Hope this helps,Edgar

yeah thanks. I was thinking what scenery objects are dynamic and where to put them. I kinda want airport equipment running around at my favorite airports to make it look more realistic...

Buzzard,Like Edgar said, I don't the type of dynamic scenery you are looking for exists. But if you want, you can create your own in just 15 minutes, using the program FSDyn, available here: http://www.bitflight.com.ar/This is a very cool little program, it's a lot easier than DOD. One catch, though, is that the recorder doesn't work in FS2004, just FS2002. The sceneries that you create work in all versions of FS though. To start out, the only ground vehicle that you can animate is a fuel truck. But I think there are ways of turning API macros into dynamic objects that can be used in FSDyn.Hope this helps!-Scott

Hi all. There is a version of Flight Recorder for FS9:http://avsim.com/hangar/utils/nav/fltrec90.zipYou can make your own Dynamic Library Objects from Gmax ASM output with FSRegen:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/59425.jpgThe "SCALE" may need to be 2048. Type 2 is dynamic. Size is as usual. The resulting ASM file will need some alteration:; Library Compiler - fsregen v0.31b by G.Ioannu ; Freeware. Commercial use is prohibited.; header label word dw 0001 dd 000989D57H dd 0FF6914C5H dd 07FFFFFFFH dd 080B60B62H dw 22 dup(0) dd (offset LIBRARY_DATA) - (offset header) dw 10 dup(0) dd 01495041Bh dd 04CD0D04Dh dd 01495041Bh dd 04CD0D04Dh dw 14 dup(0)LIBRARY_DATA label word dd (offset LIBRARY_0) - (offset LIBRARY_DATA) dd 01495041Bh, 04CD0D04Dh, 03CDF9488h, 0DD223B00h dd 0,6,8 dd (offset LIBRARY_DATA)LIBRARY_0 label word dd 01495041Bh, 04CD0D04Dh, 03CDF9488h, 0DD223B00h db 25 ; POWER dd (offset LIBRARY_0_HE) - (offset LIBRARY_0) dd (offset LIBRARY_0_END) - (offset LIBRARY_0_START) dd 100 ; SIZE dd 32 ; SCALE dd 2 ; TYPE ( Dynamic ) dd 0 db "DynamicSphere" dd 0LIBRARY_0_HE label wordLIBRARY_0_START label word; Dynamic Code SETWRD 18h, 0 ; LAT ? FSDYN! can make the movement BGL.Other options are BusyObjects, which can move any library object, and has no restrictions like Dynamic Objects. And there is the possibility of making object MDLs as AI, as Holger has shown recently. Here's a thread from Arno's site about creating dynamic objects:http://www.scenerydesign.org/modules.php?n...der=asc&start=0And another thread:http://www.scenerydesign.org/modules.php?n...viewtopic&t=110Dick
