FSX SDK water polygon help

Featured Replies

Just thought I would post a little update, comparing the same area (South West Rocks, NSW, Australia) in default FSX and with my update.Don't be too critical :) There are many issues I need to fix, eg adding islands to rivers, more accurate landclass, roads etc.Im just using this area (near my home town) to test my KML (Google Earth) to FSX scenery util.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/157171.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/157172.jpg

It looks very good. You will make a lot of people happy if you decide to release your utility.Best regards.Luis

I probably will, as freeware (for non commercial use) :) Maybe in a week or so I will upload a beta to this forum. Also, apparently in FSX landclass/waterclass/population density/seasons etc can be specified using GEOTiff files. So Im hoping I can get it creating these types of BGLs also. I guess the way it would work is by letting the user paint polygons in GE and then I would need to generate a GeoTIFF file from those polygons then feed it to resample.exe

Dear JuiceRabbit:The landclass polygons for cities or forest generate autogen above it?This landclass polygons doesn't have the problems in lwm polygon with grids in FS9 scenery? Thanks.

Yes landclass polygons generate autogen and it looks really good :)Will try and release the alpha over the weekend. Getting close to finished now.
