AI and Helos question

Featured Replies

Hi .I going to add some helos to a scenery of ours..Flight Ontario.Ive never done helos before but there going to be necessary for realism. Is there a way to make them take off and land like helos do or are we stuck with having them act the way aircraft do.any help and advise would be much apreciated. Thanks Al Sibley

Hi,Sorry, but you are stuck. No Helos in AI (for FS9 OR FSX). Holger Sandmann has created several packages of AI Helos available here and elsewhere - you can start with that. That said, the only one that works well for me is the UKMIL helo available in the AI UKMIL download section of their web site. Unfortunately the site is currently down but hopefully that will change soon.Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

I would keep an eye out for those crazy guys over at MAIW.You just never know what they'll come up with. For instance. The new Caribeean Defense Force pack that was just released has some helo's in it.KJ

I have used AI Heli's (of various makes and models) in several scenery packages available here at Avsim. You are certainly welcome to review any of them to see what I did - all use the invisible runway technique too.Do a search for David Marshall - I will be happy to share my experience via e-mail also.

All MAIW packages can be downloaded right here at Avsim.KJAvatarSaabAnimation.gif
