April 9, 200323 yr Hi John,Yes, I thought the same thing, but I too don't want to presume to put words into another's mouth. Been there, done that, never successful. :-) So, I just want to make sure I'm not mistaking his intentions for something else.Cheers, Tony
April 9, 200323 yr Hallo Tony,Sorry for saying, I am not an expert, but would`nt it be better to use only one possible keystroke-command for this.Just using the command ALT+F leaves the keystroke ALT+CTRL+/ freeto be used for another function ( with this or another add-on )in future.Maybe it`s a stupid thought, but I am ,as I said, no expert.RegardsLeen de Jager
April 9, 200323 yr Good point, Leen. Consider CTRL+ALT+/ to no longer be a valid C4TO command.Cheers, Tony
April 9, 200323 yr Thank you for the translation madmax, that's exactly what I wanted to say.Sorry for my poor english *:-*
April 9, 200323 yr No worries Roland. Controlling AI Aircraft is something that I've considered also, but that's a completely new ballgame. After I get the ATIS working, I'll try to work something out. With ROTW's AI Traffic plug-in there's a foundation for doing this, the trick is integrating my stuff with theirs to make a comprehensive ATC environment. Urghh. I think I need to take a break now...Cheers, Tony
April 9, 200323 yr Tony; Thanks for the response. No need for apopolgies, I know you are very busy with this project which if I haven't said this already, is the best add-on program for FLY II since sliced bread.I just wanted to get the speed issue cleared up in my mind so that I can make adjustments as needed. For example, when flying one of PMDG's aircraft, say 757, the default VNAV mode in the FMS is 250knots up to 10K ft. I believe this is IAS. However it can be changed during the setup process and I think the IAS can be calculated from a known maximum ground speed (eg. 250knots) given all other parameters.I also have run into the elevation problem discussed but I see you are already aware of.Thanks muchRobert
April 9, 200323 yr Tony,First of all, this latest version of C4TO is a real enhancement. The handoff's, the procedures at uncontrolled airports, it's all working fine.Just one question:Any chance that in a next version of C4TO, the "Preferred runway" is user selectable for airports having parallel runways.E.g. At Brussels airport EBBR:According to the wind direction, C4TO assigns rwy 25L for departure. In reality the 25R is always used for departure.Once the flight plan is made, and the METAR configured, a small User Interface could be invoked by the user. This interface shows a list of the involved runways:Eg. EBBR: 02 /20 / 07L / 07R / 25L and 25R.The user then selects the preferred runways for departure and for arrival.Eg. for EBBR:Preferred departure: 02 / 20 / 25RPreferred arrivals: 02 / 20 / 25L / 25RMaybe this selection could be saved for the next flights. Thanks for C4TO,Frank
April 9, 200323 yr Hi Tony,While you're correct that GS is displayed on the scope - speed restrictions are always IAS (or Mach at higher altitudes). Trust me ;-).By the way, Great Job!A. Lurker
April 10, 200323 yr Hmm. Interesting idea. And saving the preferences would be an enhancement. It'll be a bit of work though. I'm afraid I'm going to have to put this one off for a bit. Don't despair, however, I'm putting this on the list of enhancements that I intend to make after I get the whole thing sufficiently stabilized.Cheers, Tony
