April 12, 200620 yr G'day all,I was doing a shakedown flight from Sydney to Canberra and made a discovery (for me :-) - but then I'm always the last to know :-lol ) that ADF auto tune in the vector map actually works. I don't know if it was corrected in the final patch or if in fact it was ever a bug at all?. I always thought it was a bug. When the cessna installs, at start up the ADF radio defaults to displaying the active frequency and the elapsed time. Auto tune tunes the standby ADF frequency so when you auto tune there is no visible sign of anything happening. However if you then select standby frequency the auto tuned frequency is displayed and if you then select transfer it becomes the active adf frequency. There is no confusion ( for me ) with NAV frequencies as both active and standby are always displayed. Is it just me with my brain playing tricks on me or what?Cheers,Roger Cheers, Roger http://forum.avsim.net/public/styles_images/flags/au.png
April 13, 200620 yr G'day Roger,Well, I thought it was just me who had this stuff happen... but then... I'm going to be 57 in a few months so I have just learned to get along!Happy FLYing mate!Earl
April 13, 200620 yr Hi Roger, Far as I can recall from all my reloads of Fly! II over the past couple years, that's the way the ADF Auto-tune always worked. To my knowledge, wasn't a patch specific fix.Ken Wood :-sun1http://www.avsim.com/hangar/fly/dfdg/bannernewkw.jpgGateway 700X; Intel P4 2.4GHz; 512MB RAM; NVIDIA Ti4200 4X AGP 128MB; SB Audigy; Thrustmaster TopGun Fox 2 Pro Shock ___________________________ Kenneth E Wood Jr 🌪️🌩️ ex AG1, USN (14yr Vet) Weather Foecaster
April 14, 200620 yr Author G'day Earl,Wow! It appears that I've been under the misapprehension that this was a bug in FlY! II since it's release. Never mind I've got it all sorted out in my head at last. :-lolCheers,Roger Cheers, Roger http://forum.avsim.net/public/styles_images/flags/au.png
